Take Georgian living to the next level

A stay in the Temple of Diana takes Georgian living to a new level.  Built in the 1760’s for Sir Henry Bridgeman by the 18th century architect James Paine this multi-purpose garden building was a haven for the artistic and creative Bridgeman family who would play music, take tea and entertain guests in this magical folly.

The Grade II listed Temple has many intriguing features which can be enjoyed 21st century style.  The glazed Orangery is perfect for relaxing and dining with unbroken views across the Capability Brown landscaped parkland, the circular tea room is now a beautiful sitting room with french windows opening out onto Temple Wood and the old dairies have been transformed into a modern handmade kitchen with all the mod cons. In the basement there is a large family bathroom with a rainforest shower and a comfy snug with a wide screen TV.

The Weston Park Foundation has restored the property to a very high standard whilst remaining sympathetic to its heritage but exuding comfort and modernity.

The Temple is ideal for family holidays or celebrations, groups of friends escaping for a weekend away or just simply soaking up the opportunity to make yourself at home in the splendour of this Georgian masterpiece.

We offer rates for 4 guests and 6 guests.

“Felt like we were living in a Jane Austen novel, beautiful house where you feel like you have stepped back in time but you still have all the mod cons. The kids loved the big adventure playground and the miniature railway and having so much space to ride their bikes through the woods and fields.”
