Halls Young Artist Competition Prize Giving
We are delighted to announce the winners of the Halls Young Artist Competition for 2025 / 2026!
This year’s competition encouraged students from across the region to create a unique piece of art inspired by the theme ‘A Decade of Dreams.’
In celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Halls Young Artist exhibition, this special theme explores the hopes, dreams, and aspirations of children – reflecting on the past ten years and imagining the possibilities of the next decade.
Over the last two months, the Rose Paterson Art Gallery has been a sparkling display of artwork, created in different mediums. With over 250 applications and 120 pieces of artwork shortlisted, this year’s winning pieces really stood out from the crowd.

The Halls Young Artist Competition will be returning to the Rose Paterson Art Gallery in 2025 / 2026 with an exciting new theme, yet to be announced!
