The theme for this year’s National Exhibition is ‘A Festival of Flora and Fauna’. Exhibits include bunting and specially selected items. A fun, festival display of amazing design and technical skills in handweaving, hand spinning and hand dyeing from guild members across the UK.
The Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers (AGWSD) was founded in 1955 and aims to bring together the community of craft weavers, spinners and dyers. The AGWSD aims to preserve and improve craftsmanship in hand weaving, spinning and dyeing, for the benefit of the public, and promote public awareness and education in such craftsmanship. The AGWSD is run by volunteers and is an umbrella body to which individual Guilds of Weavers Spinners & Dyers are affiliated so look out for reference to different geographical areas.
The Rose Paterson Art Gallery is open daily and free of charge to enter.
