School Visits

School visits to Weston

At Weston Park we’ve so much heritage and natural beauty that can inspire and inform.  The Estate, with its thousand acres of parkland, House & Collection, and the Rose Paterson Gallery offers endless potential for learning at all stages of life and we have a wide range of opportunities for visitors of all ages. As an Arts Council England Accredited Museum and as an educational charity, we are committed to making Weston Park accessible to all.

Curricular based school visits

We work in partnership with Educating Kids Outdoors (EKO) who support schools to embed outdoor learning into their school development plan through site development, CPD and session delivery.

Here at Weston Park they deliver a wide range of curricular-based and well-being outdoor learning sessions for children and staff alike. All areas of the curriculum and co-curriculum can be covered as part of a day offering both adventure and reflection, raising self-esteem and building resilience as well as improving communication skills and nature connection.

Self guided school visits

Educational groups are welcome to visit Weston Park to explore it for themselves, so that they can focus on areas of the Estate that are of greatest interest to them. Guidance for the day is sent out at the time of booking – when you can also book train rides, bag storage, drinks and even ice-cream – but other aspects of the day will be entirely up to the teachers involved. Please remember that although the Rose Paterson Art Gallery is open year round from 11am – 4pm each day, the House and Collection is only accessible on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays in June & July from 1pm – 4pm.

Self-led visits from £5.75 per learner.
